What are laser-cutting designs?


Laser Cutting designs are typically vector graphics intended for 2D or layered 3D assembly projects. These design files are created for use with laser cutting machines and specific materials such as plywood, MDF, acrylic, metal, cardboard, or paper, and often rely on a recommended material thickness to ensure accurate cuts, proper fit, and structural integrity.

Designs range from decorative wall art, signs, boxes, puzzles, ornaments, and layered 3D models, to functional items like phone holders and organizers. 

The files are provided in vector or CAD-compatible formats, including: SVG, DXF, AI, PDF, EPS, CDR, etc.

Design considerations

Ensure submitted files are organized for laser cutting (clear layer separation, no overlapping segments). Avoid thin lines in intricate designs to prevent cutting issues.

  • Descriptive Naming: Use names like Layer1_cut.svg or Assembly_Guide.pdf. Avoid vague names like 1.svg.
  • Support Files: Include PDF instructions or JPG/PNG reference images to enhance the customer experience.
