General Rules
These are rules that apply to all products that you upload to your Creative Fabrica store
| Section | General Product Guidelines |
|---|---|
| Product Name |
✅ Give your products nice, engaging names.
❌ Don't add the category type (e.g. 'font' or '3DSVG')
to the name; our system adds this automatically!
|
| Description |
✅ Provide well-crafted, clear, and informative product
descriptions.
✅ Mention included formats and necessary software.
✅ Check for spelling mistakes and typos.
❌ Do not mention prices or discounts in images or text;
this causes confusion during promotions.
|
| License Information |
❌ Do not include your own licensing files or info.
All products are automatically covered by the
Single Sales License
or
Subscription License.
|
| Contact Information | ❌ Don't include personal contact info; our support team handles all customer requests for you! |
| Tags & Category |
✅ Add relevant tags to help customers discover your work.
✅ Use the correct category for your product.
✅ AI-generated designs must be placed in the specific
AI category.
|
| Preview Images |
✅ Images must accurately reflect the offered product.
✅ Use a 3:2 aspect ratio (Recommended:
1200px x 800px).
✅ Ensure images are free of typos or spelling errors.
|
| Download Folder |
✅ Use descriptive file names (e.g.,
Blue_Floral_Pattern.png).
✅ Compress into a single ZIP file (unless
uploading Embroidery).
❌ Avoid "Inception" ZIPs (multiple ZIPs nested inside
the main upload).
|
| Similar Designs | ✅ Bundle similar designs into sets. Individual listings for nearly identical items make searching difficult and can lead to negative reviews. |
Category Specific advice
There are also some category specific guidelines that apply depending on which category you upload your product to.
| Category | Formats | Guidelines |
|---|---|---|
| Fonts | OTF, TTF | Encode alternates and stylistic sets to the PUA so customers can easily access glyphs. Additional formats can be added as bonus files. |
| Graphics | PNG, SVG, EPS, DXF, AI, JPG, PSD, CDR | Ensure suitable resolution (e.g., 300 DPI at the relevant print size). |
| Laser Cut | SVG, DXF, AI, PDF, EPS, CDR | Specify recommended materials and thicknesses. Previews should show both assembled projects and individual pieces. Label engrave and cut layers clearly. |
| 3D SVG | SVG, DXF, PDF | Optimize for cutting machines (Cricut, Silhouette). List required materials like cardstock or glue. Show assembled vs. layered pieces. |
| 3D Print | STL, OBJ, AMF, 3MF | Assembly advice, printing instructions, or reference images are highly recommended. |
| Embroidery | PES, JEF, DST, VIP, EXP, XXX | Include a photo of the stitched-out fabric. A Sewing Info PDF must include: dimensions, stitch count, and image overview. |
| Needlework | Include a high-quality image of the finished, stitched-out product. |
