What is an eCheck?
An eCheck is an electronic payment method offered by PayPal. Like regular checks, eChecks can take up to 7 days before they clear. This means that although the payment for your order has left your account, the funds may not have arrived in our account. If you'd like to learn more about eChecks, please read PayPal's help article.
Until the money arrives in our account, your order will have the status on-hold. When your check clears, your order status will update to completed, and you will receive a notification email from us to confirm this.
Why can't I download?
Whilst your order is on-hold, any download rights that are linked to your order are temporarily paused. If you purchased an individual item, this means that you will not yet have been granted download rights to your product. Don't worry though, as soon as your check clears, your download rights will be activated!
Similarly, if the payment was a renewal of your subscription, you will not be able to download via your subscription until your eCheck Clears. Your next renewal date will be recalculated based upon the date that your payment is received, meaning that you will never be charged for days that you weren't able to use your subscription.
Can I Speed up the Processing Time?
Unfortunately, the processing time of eChecks is not something that we can control. However, if you wish to cancel an eCheck you can call your bank. Once your check has been cancelled, feel free to re-attempt the payment using a different payment method!
