3D SVG design refers to the 3D paper cut files available on Creative Fabrica. These designs are typically created from flat materials such as paper, cardstock, or kraft paper, and are intended to be cut, folded, and assembled, either by hand or using an electronic cutting machine, into decorative or functional 3D projects. Common types of 3D SVG designs include: gift boxes, pop-up cards, home décor items (e.g., wall art, ornaments), paper sculptures (e.g., animals, flowers), etc. The design files are usually provided in both cut-ready and printable formats, such as SVG, PDF, DXF, PNG, and JPEG. The SVG format is particularly recommended for use with cutting machines like Cricut or Silhouette.
We advise designers to follow the guidelines below:
- File Formats: When uploading 3D SVG designs to Creative Fabrica, please ensure you include SVG file formats that customers can use with electronic cutting machines such as Cricut, Silhouette, etc.
You're also welcome to include additional helpful files, such as PDF instructions, assembly guides, or reference images (JPG/PNG) to enhance customer experience.
- How to Upload: Design files must be uploaded in a compressed ZIP folder. We recommend clearly naming your files to indicate their use, such as: Layer1_cut.svg, Base_piece.dxf, Assembly_Guide.pdf. Please avoid vague names like 1.svg, file2.pdf, etc., as this can confuse customers and reduce usability.
- Product Name: There’s no need to include “3D SVG Design” in the product name, as your product will be placed in the category. Focus instead on a clear and descriptive name that reflects the design (e.g., "Layered Floral Mandala" or "3D Puzzle Box").
- Product Description: Please provide a clear, detailed, and informative description of your design. We recommend you include:
- The file formats provided
- Any assembly instructions or special notes (e.g., “glue required”, “slot-fit design”)
- Software or machines the files are compatible with (e.g., Cricut Design Space, Silhouette)
- This helps users determine whether your design is suitable for their machine and material setup.
- Third-Party Links: Please do not include any third-party links in your product files, descriptions, or preview images.. All necessary content should be included in the download package to ensure a seamless experience for customers.
- Contact Information: Please do not include any personal contact information. Our team handles all customer support on your behalf, so there’s no need to add email addresses, social handles, or websites.
- Product Tags: You can add relevant keywords as product tags to help customers find your design in search. We recommend adding tags like: 3D SVG box, layered mandala, etc. Use terms that reflect the project type, materials, or intended use.
- Preview Images: Preview images should be in 3:2 dimensions. We recommend using a resolution of 1200px x 800px. High-quality previews significantly improve your product’s visibility and sales potential.
Your preview images should:- Clearly show the final assembled design
- Include a mockup of the result or examples of assembled pieces
- Be clean, engaging, and accurately represent the included files
