Laser Cutting designs are typically vector graphics intended for 2D or layered 3D assembly projects. These design files are created for use with specific materials such as plywood, MDF, acrylic, metal, cardboard, or paper, and often rely on a recommended material thickness to ensure accurate cuts, proper fit, and structural integrity. Designs range from decorative wall art, signs, boxes, puzzles, ornaments, and layered 3D models, to functional items like phone holders and organizers. The files are provided in vector or CAD-compatible formats, including: SVG, DXF, AI, PDF, EPS, CDR, etc.
We advise designers to follow the guidelines below:
File Formats: When uploading Laser Cutting designs to Creative Fabrica, please ensure you include suitable vector or CAD-compatible file formats that customers can use with popular laser cutting software.
the most common file types for Laser Cutting designs are: SVG, DXF, AI, PDF, EPS, CDR. You're also welcome to include additional helpful files, such as PDF instructions, assembly guides, or reference images (JPG/PNG) to enhance customer experience.
- How to Upload: Laser cutting files must be uploaded in a compressed ZIP folder. We recommend clearly naming your files to indicate their use, such as: Layer1_cut.svg, Base_piece.dxf, Assembly_Guide.pdf. Please avoid vague names like 1.svg, file2.pdf, etc., as this can confuse customers and reduce usability.
- Product Name: There’s no need to include “Laser Cutting Design” in the product name, as your product will be placed in the Laser Cutting category. Focus instead on a clear and descriptive name that reflects the design (e.g., "Layered Floral Mandala" or "3D Puzzle Box").
- Product Description: Please provide a clear, detailed, and informative description of your design. This helps users determine whether your design is suitable for their machine and material setup. We recommend you include:
- The file formats provided
- Number of layers or pieces (if applicable)
- Recommended material(s) (e.g., plywood, MDF, acrylic, etc.)
- Recommended material thickness (e.g., 3mm)
- Any assembly instructions or special notes (e.g., “glue required”, “slot-fit design”)
- Software or machines the files are compatible with (e.g., Glowforge, xTool, LightBurn)
- Third-Party Links: Please do not include any third-party links in your product files, descriptions, or preview images. All necessary content should be included in the download package to ensure a seamless experience for customers.
- Contact Information: Please do not include any personal contact information. Our team handles all customer support on your behalf, so there’s no need to add email addresses, social handles, or websites.
- Product Tags: You can add relevant keywords as product tags to help customers find your design in search. We recommend adding tags like: laser cut box, 3mm polywood, layered mandala, laser ornament, etc. Use relevant keywords that reflect the project type, materials, or intended use.
- Preview Images: Preview images should be in 3:2 dimensions. High-quality previews significantly improve your product’s visibility and sales potential. We recommend using a resolution of 1200px x 800px. Your preview images should:
- Clearly show the final assembled design
- Include a mockup of the laser-cut result or a render of the layered pieces
- Be clean, engaging, and accurate representations of the included files.
